California!

Well, we finally got home last night!
Everything is kind of in disarray because we're still unpacking and boxes are still arriving...we still don't even have a bed!  I will continue videos on my youtube channel shortly...but they might be further apart due to the many duties of moving in!  School is also starting this coming Monday so I'm also rushing around trying to get ready for that!  Ill post pictures from our roadtrip shortly.
I guess that's all for now.

Cross Country : New Mexico

So last night we stopped for the night in Albuquerque, NM.
It was a long drive from Oklahoma, but we made it!  We drove through the rest of OK, and all of Texas (through amarillo) along old rt 66, which is now I-40.  We were both very sad that we werent able to spot the cadilliac ranch from the road, but we were on a time schedule and didnt have much time to go too far off our plan.  At one rest stop we ran into a trucker who was on his way to pick up bulls for a rodeo.  It was kind of cool talking to someone who does what we're doing for a living.  Today we're off to las vegas! And then tomorrow we'll finally be home :)

Cross Country : Missouri

We left New York yesterday morning.  We drove through New Jersey and Pennsylvania and settled half way through Ohio, which offered many different smells including manure, flatulence, burning rubber and skunk.  We stayed in a place called the Knights Inn, which was horrible.  We payed 75 dollars for a tiny room that smelled like urine, the toilet was hard to flush and the shower was full of mold, there was no internet when they claimed there was, and the tv they provided had very poor reception.  But we trudged through and drove through the rest of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and stopped in St. Louis Missouri.  Where we are now.  We stopped at a Comfort Inn (a name I trust!) with full working tv and internet for 52 bucks!  We're going to be driving to Oklahoma tomorrow and we'll be staying with my family there!

Make-up Remover Wipes

This past week I got two new makeup remover wipes to try out.  I tried the Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes and the Garnier Refreshing Remover Cleansing Towelettes.  I've tried them both once and have good and not so good things to say about each.

First, the Burt's Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes.  They work great and have a very smooth feeling over my skin.  They work great at removing my makeup (even waterproof mascara) and cleansing my skin.  My only negative about this product is that it has an odd scent.  To me, it sort of smells like strong tea and a strange mixture of fruits.  It's not a bad smell...but definitely not something I'd want my face to smell like everyday.

Second, I have the Garnier Refreshing Remover Cleansing Towelettes.  These also remove makeup very well and cleanses my face, and unlike the Burt's Bees, this product has a very nice scent.  My complaint about this product is that it's a little bit rough for my eye area when I have mascara and eyeliner to remove.

I probably will buy a completely new product after I finish these packs to try and find the perfect makeup remover that feels and smells nice and, of course, removes all my makeup.  Please let me know if you've found a makeup remover wipe that you use that you like a lot!

Favorite Nail Polish!

Ok, so I dont really have just one favorite nail polish.  I have two that I will share with you all.

The first being Essie's Sexy Divide.
This is a dark shimmery purple color.  Going into it I was a little concerned because all the other dark purple nail polishes I have tried came out very very dark, almost black.
When I tried this polish for the first time I was thrilled.  It actually came out a dark purple!!! It was eight dollars at my local drugstore, but I'm sure you can find it many places online.

The second of my favorite polish's is Sephora by OPI's Already Famous.
This is a gold/silver shimmer polish, perfect for summer.  I never really wore metallic polishes before, but my mom suggested the color so I bought it and, now, absolutely love it.  Its perfect for finger and toe nails, and doesn't really chip for a long time!  I've literally been wearing this polish all summer long on either my finger nails, toe nails or both.  I picked this up for nine dollars at my local Sephora store.  This is also available online.

These are currently my two favorite nail polishes.  I can't wait to add to my collection...nail polish is slowly but surely becoming my new obsession!

Internet!!

So I finally have internet on my laptop back!!! I have no idea how it happened, but I just tried one more time and it worked!!! I've already uploaded 2 more videos onto my youtube channel : youtube.com/apar321.
This will make updating my blog as well as recording and uploading videos a lot easier.
Thank you so much for hanging in there with me through this! I'm glad to be back.

Cross Country!!!

This past June my boyfriend and I drove from where we go to school in Orange County, California all the way back to where we live in New York.  We drove through and stopped in:
Payson, Arizona
Roswell, New Mexico
Denver City and  Austin, Texas
New Orleans, Louisiana
we drove through Mississippi and Alabama to
Atlanta and Marietta, Georgia
Manchester, Tennessee (BONNAROO!!!)
Dublin, Virginia
and our final stretch was through West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and finally New York.

(I'll post a few pictures of this trip after this post)

In just 18 days we are planning to go back to California through New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Nevada and California.  I can't wait to see more of our country and add on to my photo journal.  I'll definitely be reporting on my trip back to California!

It's a 10 : miracle leave in product

So I've mentioned this product before in one of my youtube videos.  It is a leave in product that I use after every shower and it has kept my hair healthy and happy for years. I've recommended it to all of my friends, and it has been proven to work wonders on all hair types.  I usually buy this product at my hair stylists', but I know you can find it other places like CVS and Ulta.  They have many more products advertised and available, but this is the first and only one I've tried...so far.
This product, once applied to your hair, will:
1) Repair dry, damaged hair
2) Adds shine
3) Smooths and controls frizz
4) Seals and protects hair color
5) Flat iron spray and thermal protector
6) Detangles

7) Stops hair breakage
8) Creates silkiness
9) Enhances natural body
10) Prevents split ends

Here's my normal routine : Shower, shampoo/conditioner like normal.  Towel dry hair (not too dry, though) and spray a generous amount of "its a 10" product and comb through.  I usually let my hair air dry, but I have also used this product before blow-drying, curling and straightening my hair and it works just as well.
I use this product diluted, so I usually save my old bottles and transfer half my new bottle into my old bottle and fill the rest with water!  It works the same, and I get twice as much for my money!  Even though this product is somewhat expensive, I believe it is well worth it.
